:D
second day of hiatus for me at home, away from school, with the flu and sore throat that crept themselves in over the weekends.
although i'm missing out on vectors and chemical energetics and bio spa today =O, but i can't really say i mind..
because who would mind missing out on the two days of school that she dislikes the most? HAHA!
not that i really didn't want to go today, but apparently i must be obedient to doctor's orders and get my two full days of rest, or i'll be sent home by the school. haha jingshi and chaoqun alr got sent home today and last friday! pretty cool, huh.
xD
anyway these two days are doing me good! got my rest (quite sufficient by the way), got time to study abit and slack :D i ALWAYS feel good about missing school! hahahaha. okay, everybody feels good about missing school ^^
weekends was nice...
saturday there was the ndp09 rehearsal, so wolfie and me went down to cityhall cos we wanted to catch a glimpse of the fireworks ^^
throngs of people flowed down citylink mall, either because its a saturday, or because they were all there to see the fireworks!
wolfie deprived me of my jet airplanes!!! hahaha okay that's only halfway true because i'd have dragged him there if i hadn't succumbed to hunger myself. okay, succumbed to food. HEHE.
after resisting the temptations of many shops in raffles city(many failed attempts btw), went for dinner at marinasq!
awhile on the rooftop, and we heard Majulah Singapura from the distance, and this is what we saw! (inserts loud helicopters sounds)

didn't snap the shutter fast enough to catch all the helicopters! (there were five actually i think) oh well. at least i caught the flag!
and do you see the bit of pinkish sunset? :)
and then we went down to esplanade, (on the way up we realised the whole escalator was filled with couples. like an endless stream of them luh! LOL!)
the band in the front hall had many people sitting down or pausing to listen, as they thrilled out song after song of relaxing music.
talented people! :D

went through the crowds to the waterfront, and as usual, i ooh-ed and ahh-ed over all the mesmerizing and romantic lights :)
(this was just a testing shot but it ended up looking not bad, other than the people in front. haha!)
there was one eruption of fireworks that were shaped like many many many tiny stars at one point in time. i gushed over it! because it really looked so nice. many people paused now to stare and pour out their own set of Wows too. =D
waited for some time sitting down near the river, while we chatted and enjoyed the time as we waited for the fireworks to start.
there were boats cruising on the river which we assumed to be the things that will shoot out the fireworks. okay, wolfie assumed it. i wouldn't know this kind of thing. hahaha.
we spotted these things floating past us on the river!
nicey-nicey :D
and then after some time the first bout of fireworks started. they were so pretty!! ( i took videos so no photos to upload here!) they looked like gigantic sparkles that are just erupting right in your face.
i'm serious! they were just right in front of us! FIREWORKS MAKE ME HAPPY :D
after the fireworks when everyone started proceeding in one direction which baffled us tremendously because we were wondering where were they going, we went back to the stage where another band was performing before the fireworks, and started performing again after the fireworks.
decided to sit down and watch them, eating corn and drinking fruit punch bought from one of the roadside stalls ^^

different vocalists took their turn to come onstage. love sitting there, listening to all the different renditions, just enjoying the music and the nighttime atmosphere. with all the other singaporeans around us. :)
MARVELLOUS CREAM's strawberry icecream in waffle bowl afterwards, and bus 857 back again! a happy happy night once again :)

When he heard Ethan's long, laughing oath, the loud splash that followed it, and the roars of male satisfaction that came next, he grinned.
And he stayed there, grinning even as a tear escaped and trickled unnoticed down his cheek.
"Yeah, I could eat." Seth swiped a hand under his nose. "Got a dollar?"
When Cam laughed and punched the accelerator it was one of the best moments of Seth's life.

i know books can make me think, ponder, and learn quite a bit at times.
i didn't know shows can do that for me too!
- just a bout of randomness huh. (:
and since another special day is coming up three days later, just wanna use this chance...
all this one year and (coming) five months, i think there's hardly any moment i don't know (although sometimes i do forget) that i'm truly lucky to have you by my side.
how you always give in to me, trying to meet my crazy whims at times.
hardly ever losing your temper with me, simply because you care.
accepting me for who i am, trusting me.
taking care of me, telling me stuffs so that i won't feel left out.
supporting me for whatever decisions i make, being there for me all the time.
i just can't say how much you mean to me.
so i wanna say, loudly and clearly,
I LOVE YOU, LEE YAN CHENG. always.

after reading a couple of blogs, i realised i miss my own blog too! so here i am once again, people :D
so midyears are finally over. heard that ninety percent of the cohort failed h2 econs, and the average grade for h2 maths is U. HAHAHAHAHAA that's uber funny luh! kind of puts you in a relieved state to know that no matter how badly you do, you won't be the only one xD
i look forward to seeing my math results. the most traumatising paper i've ever taken.
i love afternoon papers because it gives me time to slack, but also puts me in a false state of security, where the most common thing i'll tell myself is : "i still have time in the morning." which of course, doesn't hold true most of the time. xD
the day before our maths papers (math is the last one for me this time), lorettachu called me at midnight to get help for maths! and then we ended up chatting for like one hour (the whole time not talking about math at all =X). through the call we were like repeating, "we're so dead man", "wah we're going to fail maths." (cos we alr got no time to study yet we didn't hang up the phone lmao)
me: what if your mummy comes out?
lor: er... i'll tell her i'm asking math! which is true wad!
me: ooohhh... then what if my mummy comes out?
lor: er... then you'll say you're teaching math lor!
me: LOL LOL okayyyy~~ (although it's so not true)
*a while later* *mummy comes out*
mum: why are you still on the phone??
me: ohhhh... er... i'm... asking math!
lor(in the phone): laughs madly
so we said thank you to each other for helping each other with math O.O and we said You're welcome! to each other too. see, we're such polite girls luh! xD
hahahahaa.
loretta chu, i hope you do know i'll miss you alot when you really do fly off. but no matter what, we'll still be the best dears forever, alright? (: because you know that four years of friendship'll never be broken no matter the distance.
okay anyway! because of h1n1, ccas are cancelled till further notice. no wonder i feel quite relaxed nowadays although term3 is supposed to be alot more hectic!
and our timetable didnt change much except that now wed ends at 1245 instead of 145 =D, but thur ends at 115/215 instead of 1215. thats kinda not bad because there's no cca for me on wed! :D (unlike everyone else lah =P hehe)
anyway i decided that actually there's not alot of things to dread about school, since there're friends and everything, and actually the only day i really hate is monday, which is the first day of the week so you can get it over with quickly!
and i've started looking forward to the dec holidays hahaha although its still very long away but it shall be one of my motivations! =D
and of course, i really do believe it's time to start treasuring these last two years, where we can be crazy and have fun and do not have to worry about all the things that adults worry about, althought sometimes we have our own worries too.
that's totally how we felt when the five of us went to orchard after exams on thursday last week, where we screamed and laughed like almost the whole day at the most suagu-est things :P
anw yesterday was a happy day cos i got to meet lots of people!
stellie song for lunch at nyp where she made SUPER lots of noise when i was just like fifteen min late and i've waited for her like half my freaking life, met joanie and marilyn for orchard :D, wolfie deeearrr at cwp for kfc and walkwalk :D, and then yr jl wl for ghc dinner and lots of laughter!!! yay!
and oh thursday i celebrated lorettachu's super belated birthday with her. dear, hope you like your present!!! :D
today had morning breakfast at mac's with wolfie, and for the rest of the weekends i'm staying at home! because i'm a good good girl ^^ hehe.
when sometimes you get tired of life, try thinking of all the blessings you have. the many people who care.
questions which answers just seem to elude you, stop pondering, and they will come to you someday.
pause and stop, take a breath, and grab hold of your firm perspectives again.

look at this, i like this message (:
Wee got a message that on this day, God wants her to know...
... that every relationship rests on three legs: accepting, supporting and challenging. That's really it, isn't it? You want your relationships to be grounded on accepting each other as you are. On supporting each other through the inevitable ups and downs. On challenging each other to become more, to grow, to flourish. Which one of these is the more difficult one for you, and how are you going to practice it in the next 24 hours?
